Queue management for banks and post offices

At the start of the month, when salaries and pensions come in, a bank branch or post office fills up before it even opens. People take a ticket from the kiosk, sit down if a chair is free and stare at the screen without knowing if their turn will come in ten minutes or an hour. With ranna, customers scan a QR at the entrance and get their queue ticket on their phone. They see how many people are ahead, can step out, and their phone rings when the counter calls them.

What goes wrong today

  • The start of the month

Salaries, pensions, money orders: on the same days everyone comes at once and the hall spills onto the pavement.

  • A ticket kiosk to maintain

Kiosk, thermal printer, paper rolls, screen and a maintenance contract, for a machine that often ends up showing “out of order”.

  • A silent paper ticket

The printed number shows neither position nor time left. Customers don’t dare step away in case they miss their turn.

How it works with ranna

  1. 01

At the entrance, the customer scans the QR poster and picks a service: cash desk, adviser, parcels. Reception creates tickets for people without a smartphone.

  2. 02

They see their position and an estimate based on the counters’ real pace, then wait seated, outside or while running an errand.

  3. 03

The clerk taps Call from their station as soon as they are free.

  4. 04

The phone rings and shows “Please go to counter 2”; the hall TV shows the number and the counter at the same time.

What matters to you

One queue per service

Cash desk, customer adviser, parcels, complaints: each service has its own queue, called from the counter that handles it.

A QR code instead of a kiosk

Nothing to buy or repair. The ticket, the TV screen and the messages talk about customers and counters, as in your branch.

Numbers per branch

Daily visitors, waiting and service times: enough to open more counters on payday.

Frequently asked questions

Can we drop the ticket kiosk entirely?

Yes. The QR serves customers with a smartphone, and reception creates tickets for everyone else from the console in one tap. Both feed the same queue and the same TV screen.

How much does ranna cost for a branch?

The Free plan covers one counter and 300 tickets a month, with no hardware to buy. For several counters, services or branches, the SMEs & Enterprise plan is priced on request: write to [email protected].

Does it suit a post office or a social security office?

Yes. Post offices, insurance agencies and CNSS or CNAM style offices have the same need: several counters, different services and a hall to clear.

Can older customers use it?

Those who don’t scan get their ticket from reception and follow the calls on the TV screen, as with a kiosk. The phone ticket switches between Arabic, French and English in one tap.
